Key Initiatives

Stop the Sting

An act-on-science coalition focused on creating a scientifically monitored, highly repeatable, and readily implementable approach to reducing the bay nettle jellyfish population in Barnegat Bay.

Visit Save Barnegat Bay's website to learn about the program and sign up for information and services (https://www.savebarnegatbay.org/educate/jellyfish/).

International Submarine Races

BTUSAR is passionate about the International Submarine Races, sponsored by the Foundation for Underwater Research & Education (FURE), where Squad 86 runs the event above and below water. One key role that we play - our safety divers protect competitors, ensuring that they and their equipment are safely extracted from the pool at the end of the race, or if they experience a problem.
